Stephen Pegler, PE

Director of Engineering

Stephen Pegler is a highly experienced environmental engineer, with over 20 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and environmental site remediation. Before joining AbTech Industries, Inc., Mr. Pegler was the Senior Engineer and Quality Control Manager for the Phoenix, AZ office of the consulting engineering firm, BEM Systems, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Pegler was the Remediation Program Manager and Quality Control Manager for WRS Compass, Inc., headquartered in Tampa, FL. Previous project experience includes the design and construction of stormwater and municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems, process engineering, design and construction of industrial wastewater treatment systems, and process design and construction of hazardous site remediation projects, across the U.S. and internationally. Mr. Pegler received his BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska and is a licensed PE in Nebraska and Arizona.

Steven Townsend

Applications Engineer

Steve Townsend's primary role at AbTech is the development of environmental solutions for using innovative clean water technologies to assist communities and industries working to achieve green initiatives. Steve has focused on design analysis and modeling for the improvement of water quality discharge from end-of-pipe applications employing the patented Smart Sponge® technology developed by AbTech Industries, Inc. As a key member of AbTech's Team, Steve, works on project planning, design and installations for both national and international projects. Steve is currently a licensed E.I.T. in the state of Arizona and is a junior member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Steve earned his BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona, with an emphasis in Water Resources and Structural Engineering.
