Glenn R. Rink, Founder

President and C.E.O. of AbTech Industries, Inc.

For over a decade, Glenn R. Rink has led AbTech Industries, Inc. in its commitment to Green Tech innovation - a 2007 & 2008 AlwaysOn GoingGreen Top-100 winner - pioneering cutting-edge clean water solutions to meet community and industry needs. Glenn oversaw AbTech's growth from a startup R&D venture to an over 20-million-dollar-invested environmental company by engineering his patented Smart Sponge® technology - the unique polymer technology chemically selective to hydrocarbons - into innovative applications to target the multiple avenues of water contamination including stormwater runoff, the leading cause of water pollution.Smart Sponge® is currently installed in over 13,000 locations across America and in 8 countries. Additionally, Glenn serves as the chairman of the Board of Trustees for Waterkeeper Alliance, the largest and fastest growing environmental group in the U.S.

From 1992 to 1995, Glenn served as the president of HydroGrowth International, an agricultural products company that specializes in aqueous absorption polymer technology. The advancement of this technology at HydroGrowth expanded into the development and application of polymer technologies to hydrocarbons and fostered the founding of AbTech. Prior to founding HydroGrowth, Glenn was involved in the restaurant industry where he participated in business acquisitions and expansions that resulted in the creation of a successful restaurant franchise business.

Jonathan Thatcher

Chief Operating Officer

Preceding his appointment as the Chief Operating Officer of AbTech Industries Inc., Mr. Thatcher served as the Director and President of Exeter Life Sciences Inc. for over 12 years. While at Exeter Mr. Thatcher held the following positions: Chairman of Arcadia Biosciences, Inc., an innovative plant biotechnology firm focused on nitrogen use efficiency, water use efficiency, and salinity tolerance, co-founded Kronos -- The Optimal Health Company focused on preventative healthcare, served as Chairman of ViaGen, Inc., an animal biotechnology company focused on commercializing somatic cell nuclear transfer methods, and held the position of Chairman and Interim President of Start Licensing, Inc., which manages and licenses a broad portfolio of intellectual property rights related to animal reproductive technologies. Mr. Thatcher also served as a Director of AbTech Industries Inc. and One Touch Systems, Inc.

Bjornulf White

Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development

Mr. White serves as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. He previously worked as a portfolio manager at Lockheed Martin Corporation where he was responsible for identifying, incubating, and expanding new technologies and markets for the corporation, such as the energy and water technologies sector. Prior to joining Lockheed, Mr. White worked as an attorney and business strategy consultant in Washington, DC. Mr. White holds a JD degree from the George Washington University Law School, an MPA from Cornell University's Institute for Public Affairs, and also a BA from Cornell.

Lane J. Castleton

Chief Financial Officer, Vice President and Treasurer

Mr. Castleton joined the company in 1998. He has over 25 years of experience in managing, accounting, and finance functions. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Castleton managed the finance, accounting, and administrative functions of Marine Preservations Association, an oil industry trade association that funded the establishment of a national catastrophic oil spill response capability. For nine years, Mr. Castleton served as the Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Symbion, Inc., a publicly traded medical device manufacturing company. Mr. Castleton is a CPA with a Masters degree in professional Accountancy, and public accounting experience gained as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand, an international public accounting firm.
